Double georgette is a slightly heavier weight than regular georgette.
Georgette Fabric is a distinctive crinkly crepe light textured fabric which feels slightly rough and dull. It is a slightly sheer (see through) fabric with a bouncy, flowing look. The crepe like texture of this fabric makes it very springy, so that the fabric almost appears to move on its own.
Double Georgette is slightly thicker than the standard single Georgette and it drapes very well, making it a popular choice for women’s fashions in which flowing fabrics are favoured. It is often used for garments with layers for a fanciful effect without being heavy or bulky.
This fabric is machine washable, non stretch and extremely versatile. It is often used in gowns, skirts, tops, dresses and even bridal wear. It is also used as a lining fabric for other georgette fabrics which retains the garments flowing properties.

All pattern repeats vary. They can be mirrored image, side matched or half dropped across the width of the fabric. Please be aware at the time of selection the type of pattern repeat within the design you have selected. Pattern repeats have a tolerance of +/- 5%

Cut lengths of fabric can only be refunded or exchanged if they are faulty or damaged in any way.
If there is an issue with fabric you have received, please notify us within 24 hours of delivery, and before cutting or using the fabric.
