The Atelier 3 AE has a maximum 7mm stitch width, which is great for stitch fonts and decorative stitching. It has useful features including automatic tension, needle threader and auto thread cutter
A clear LCD screen helps you select from the 120 stitches including 7 auto 1-step buttonholes and 7 alphabet styles. LED lighting, an easy set bobbin, a needle threader, a speed control slider, a start/stop button, auto lock and auto thread cutter help make your sewing easier.
Roomy workspace: The Janome Atelier 3 has an 8¼ inch throat which leaves you a lot of room to work. It isn’t as big as the Janome Horizon but it’s the biggest among its peers. The workspace is level and deep – also an extension table is available if you need even more room.
Simple Stitch Selection: Make your stitch selection with the backlit LCD screen. All 120 stitches available are depicted on the inside of the top lid. Simply enter the corresponding mode and number into the keypad.
LCD Screen: lights up with the ideal presser foot for each stitch and the stitch width & length can be adjusted with the + or – buttons.
Feed System: The Janome Atelier 3 is equipped with The Superior Plus Feed System (or SFS+).This tech makes it a breeze to sew through a wide variety of fabrics with little resistance or fiddling with the tension dial. The Auto setting produces a balanced stitch that works well across the board.
Easy to use: The machine automatically chooses the width & length that are ideal for the stitch you select but are also manually programmable with ease.
Bright Illumination: There are 6 LED lights that make it easy to see what you’re working on.
Simple Bobbin System: This machine has a drop in bobbin system instead of the slightly more finicky front loading system. You’ll spend less time dealing with thread jams and more time sewing. The cover is clear plastic which makes it easy to see when your thread is running low. The Janome Atelier 3 has a specially designed cover & case that makes threading the machine a breeze. Simple slip the bobbin thread into the guide and the built in blades snip the thread so you can get straight to sewing.
Automatic thread cutter: resets the tails & trims them so you don’t have to.
Needle Threader: Threading the machine is easy with Janome and numbers guide you in the right direction. The Atelier 5 also comes with a handy built in needle threader.
Needle stop Up / Down: Takes the fuss out pivoting the fabric and turning corners.
Auto Lock Stitch: Touch the button and the machine stops sewing and secures the seam with a tiny not.
Speed Limiter: for perfect control – use the slider control to select a comfortable speed.
Stop / Start Function: gives you the option to run the machine with the foot pedal disconnected. Sewing speed can then be easily controlled with the slider on the front of the machine. You can of course, use the variable speed foot pedal in the traditional way should you prefer.
